Thanksgiving on the Farm & a few updates

I got back yesterday from Arkansas & I had such a good time! My sister has the pictures from the baby shower on her camera, so I can't post those yet. But, we had a GREAT Thanksgiving on my Nannie & Papa's farm. She cooked us everything we had asked for (fried squash, mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, green bean casserole) Everything was SO good. It was so nice to spend time with our family.

I wanted to post a few pictures of my papa's gravestone & of the farm that I took. I'll post more pictures with people in them later. We had a great baby shower in Conway & I feel so blessed to have so many friends & family that care about Becky & I. Here are a few pictures I took with my camera phone & of the farm:

First of all, of course we went & ate at the Cracker Barrel! My mom got Jarrett this adorable sock monkey "jack in the box" & a sock monkey nightlight. Can you believe they had those there!? Sock monkey's seem to be coming back in style:



We also went to a store called "Just T'sn" in Conway & they had these adorable sock monkey booties & hat. I got the red set (well, my mom did):


My mom also got us each a diaper bag with the boy's names on them at the same store. I think they turned out so cute & I love it!

When I got home Jason had the crib & changer put together. They look so cute! I still don't have the bedding in, but when I do I'll post pics of course.

On to the farm...here is a picture of me with my Nannie's kitty - Callie. She is the sweetest cat & will let anyone pick her up. She is like a little ragdoll & will just lay around like a stuffed animal:

We also went to decorate my papa's grave for Christmas. This is the first time I had seen his stone since it was put in. I helped draw the picture on the front, so it was really special to see it!

Going Home!

Well, I am flying home to Arkansas tomorrow & I'm SOOOOO excited! I probably won't post (if much) while I'm away. But, when I get back I'll have lots of pics from mine & Becky's double baby shower. Who knows, I might post pics from mom & dad's computer if we get a chance. I'm going to eat at all the places I miss from back home & see "New Moon" with my mom & sister. I can't wait!

Addicts

I'm sorry, we just can't help it. Me & my sista text pics all the time of each other with our cute little Red Starbucks cups. These are from this morning, haha!

New hair do

I got my hair cut & colored today. I think it turned out really well! Jason likes it a lot better darker & it is growing on me to. I haven't had a haircut since June, so it was time! I wanted my hair to look good for the upcoming shower & birth of Jarrett. I think this cut/color will last throughout that time. I can't believe in 7 weeks I'm going to have a baby! It seems so unreal... Anyways, what do ya'll think of the color? I spent almost FIVE hours at the salon b/c I made her go back & fix the highlights - they were to bleached & "skunky". But, they look better now :)

Oh Christmas Tree!

I put up our Christmas tree last weekend. I love Christmas time! Yes, we have sock monkey's on our tree :) I bought them at Cracker Barrel when we still lived in Arkansas. We don't have a lot of Christmas decorations, but I'm sure as the years go by we'll collect more. I also love listening to the "Sounds of the Seasons" station on our cable network. Anyone else have that? They are playing Christmas music & sometimes I get ready to it in the mornings.

Sweet Face

I had another doctor's appointment today. Everything looked great. I only got one picture of Jarrett today. He was facing us with his mouth open & he has his fist in front of his face. Looks like he is trying to do an upper jab! (Why do these pictures always look a little scary? I sure hope he is cuter than these pictures project!) My blood pressure was good, fluid around the baby was good, I gained 4 lbs. since my last visit. So, I've gained a total of 22 lbs. so far.

Right now I am just counting down the days to fly home. I got a letter from the doctor saying it is okay for me to fly home. I'm going to eat at all the places I miss - Cracker Barrel, Backyard Burgers, Stobys & a mexican place with WHITE cheesedip! I can't wait for the double baby shower too. There is nobody I would rather share this experience with than my twin sister, my best friend :)

32 weeks & some pups want to say HI!

Only 10 more days until I go home! I am counting down the days. I can't wait to see my family & friends in Arkansas. I'm a little nervous about flying at almost 34 weeks, but I think I'll be okay. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow & my doctor will make sure everything is still okay for me to fly home. I'm getting SO big! Here is a picture I texted my mom, dad & sister tonight. The belly is surely growing & Jarrett has been kicking like crazy!


Also, Milton & Billie are adapting to the new house well. They are such good doggies & they wanted to say "hi" :)

The furniture has been ordered

My sweet Nannie sent me some money to buy baby furniture. We are getting black furniture for his room. I've ordered his bedding, but it has not come in yet. Here is the crib & changing table we ordered:


I hope it will all turn out really cute. Of course, I'll post pics when I'm done, but I am just getting started! I really want to be able to buy a glider too, but we'll have to see if that's in our budget. I have a vision in my head of what I want his room to look like & I just hope it turns out as cute as I want it to :)

New Layout

It has been a while since I've done a blog layout myself. After I got Becky into blogging, she got into designing blogs & I've been letting her design mine. BUT, I found this adorable digital sock monkey set online & I had to try to do my blog in it. I think it turned out really cute & in honor of our upcoming baby boy, I wanted to do a sock monkey theme. What do ya'll think!?

Sock Monkey Madness

I'm not sure if I posted on here or not, but we are doing Jarrett's nursery in sock monkeys. Jason LOVES sock monkeys & has a couple of them. I have ordered his bedding & I still need to order furniture. We are settling into our new house & I'm anxious to get started on his nursery. It has been rough moving b/c I'm so tired when I get home from work, that I don't feel like doing anything. I have almost everything unpacked, but I still have a lot of cleaning & organizing to do. Moving is NOT fun, especially at 31 weeks pregnant!

Anyways, I LOVE this website called CRAZY 8. They have some of the cutest sock monkey clothes I've ever seen! I seriously want to buy everything on this site, but I know that is just dumb. Hopefully I can get a few things for him. Here are a few cute items from their website:

5 Years Ago Today

I married the love of my life! Jason has been such a blessing in my life & I'm so lucky to have a man like him. He is the kind of guy that always puts me before himself. We got married at the Old Mill in North Little Rock, Arkansas in a small ceremony with close family & friends only. It was a great day. I can't believe it's already been 5 years & now we are expecting our first baby in 2 months! We are so excited :) I LOVE YOU JASON!

Our anniversary means a lot,

So, Jason & I still don't have a fridge in our new house. (let's hope this gets sorted out soon) But, we went out to Buffet Asia last night & I noticed one of the machines on my way out. I knew Summer was having a "Stachetastic Contest", but I had no clue what I wanted to do for it b/c we have been so busy. But, I saw this machine & I HAD to get a stache & enter! The Date is Set

January 5, 2010 is when I am set to be induced to have Jarrett. My doctor told me to pick a date the first week of January to be induced so my mom & nannie could buy plane tickets to be here. SO, that is the date! (if he doesn't come earlier)

I haven't had internet for a couple of days because we have been moving into our house. Man, am I sore today. My feet hurt so bad last night, but I'm glad to be in our house. We still don't have appliances & I'm fixing to leave work to see if the construction is completely done this time. They were still working today.

Twilight Panties!?!

Oh my goodness, can you believe they have Twilight - Robert Pattinson panties now!? I love Twilight, but I don't think I'll be wearing RPattz panties anytime soon. I can't wait to see New Moon with my mom & sister when I go home in less than a month! I just read they wrapped Eclipse yesterday. I can't believe they already finished filming the 3rd film & its set to release on June 30, 2010. I hope they will make Breaking Dawn, or I will be upset :(

30 week belly & other random stuff

I'm not sure I can get much bigger in 2 more months! But, here I am today with my 30 week belly. We are having our Halloween party today at work & I decided not to dress up this year. But, I did wear an orange maternity shirt & I tried to be a little festive:



Also, my BFF Kristin is helping co-host a double baby shower for me & Becky on November 28th. I'm so excited to be having a shower & especially sharing it with my sister...my other half. She sent us a preview of the invitation yesterday & it looks SO cute! I know my sister posted it on her blog, but I wanted to post it on mine too:


I haven't bought much for Jarrett yet, because we just bought our house. WE ARE MOVING THIS WEEKEND! WOO-HOO! I can't wait to start on a nursery & get everything ready in our new house.

Also, I was looking around on Target.com & I remember someone posting about a dog bed that you could get that allowed your dog to "burrow" in it. I saw this bed & I think it is perfect for Billie Bean. She is always so cold! It is called the "PetMate Burrow Bed". How cute is that for small dogs that are always cold?

Our Little Man

Jarrett weighs about 3.8 lbs now. He is a growing boy! He is looking really good & I'm getting excited to meet him soon. I was talking to the doctor about my mom & nannie flying out here for when I have the baby & they need to buy tickets, so he said for me to pick a date the first week of January & he will induce me! I told my mom to discuss it with my nannie. I'm so excited that we will be meeting our son in about 2 months time. Here are a few ultrasound shots from today. A look back on Halloween's of the past

My mom always made our Halloween costumes when we were little. I have a sewing machine & I really need to take a sewing class to remember how to sew. I want to be able to make Jarrett stuff like my mom did for me. I was looking through old pics & I found these of me & Becky when we were little. Those were good days!

Jason & I met right before Halloween in 2003. Our relationship was really new, but we both dressed up that year in medieval costumes. He even wore tights! (and has never let me forget that) We went to a club that night with our friends that we had met through. I think that was the last time we ever went to a club b/c we don't really do that scene or dance anymore :P
Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of me & Jason together that night. But, me & my sister wore our costumes to work that day & here is a picture from that day:

A lot has changed since the 6 years we met, but only for the better :) We will celebrate our 5-year wedding anniversary on November 5th. When I met Jason, I just knew I would never find another guy SO crazy about me & we were so in love with each other. And, still are *wink*

A few more updates on the house

We met with the contractor & the inspector on Saturday for a pre-final walk through. They had the handles on the cabinets & the tile all grouted in the kitchen. We are buying a new white microwave for over the range & a new fridge. Eventually, we want to change out the countertops, but we can't afford it right now. I worked a LONG time this weekend cleaning those countertops & filling in cracks & grout. I think they look a lot better :) We hope to move in next weekend & get settled soon. Hopefully there aren't anymore set backs! They still have to install the shower in the master bath, install carpet in the bedrooms, install faucets in the bathrooms, lay ceramic in the laundry room & a few more things.
